Description
EXPERIMENTAL TESTING RELEASE — use non-sensitive test data only. Browser-recording failures remain under investigation; file import/playback and restart/restore have been tested. Clean-install acceptance, AI and desktop-client integration are not yet fully verified. Organization custom-domain provisioning is unsupported (upstream depends on Vercel).
Cap Web is the upstream open-source screen-recording and video-sharing application, packaged for Cloudron with its media-processing service and Cloudron-managed MySQL.
Requires an existing S3-compatible bucket and bucket-scoped credentials. Cloudflare R2 is supported through Cap's native S3 configuration. Objects are not included in Cloudron backups and need a separate backup strategy.
Cap uses Resend for login email; without Resend, upstream prints login codes in application logs. Cloudron SSO and SMTP are not integrated. Cap Desktop connects using its Cap Server URL setting.
