RustDesk Server
Self-hosted ID and relay server for RustDesk remote desktop
https://git.due.ren/andreas/rustdesk-server-cloudron/-/raw/main/CloudronVersions.json
Description
This is an unofficial community package of the open-source RustDesk Server (OSS). It is not affiliated with or supported by RustDesk.
RustDesk is an open-source remote desktop application. Running your own server keeps device registration and relayed sessions on infrastructure you control instead of the public RustDesk servers.
What runs
- hbbs: ID/rendezvous server (device registration, NAT type test, hole punching)
- hbbr: relay server, used when a direct peer-to-peer connection is not possible
Both are the official, checksum-verified upstream release binaries, started the same way as upstream's container image.
Cloudron integration
- The client settings (ID server, key, ready-to-import config string) are shown on the admin page behind Cloudron login, and on a public guest page at
/setupfor people who need to connect - TCP 21115-21117 and UDP 21116 are configured in the app's Location settings
- WebSocket endpoints
/ws/idand/ws/relayare served over HTTPS on the app domain for the web client and WebSocket-enabled clients, using upstream's documented reverse-proxy layout - Key pair, device database and relay blocklists live in
/app/dataand are included in Cloudron backups - Upstream environment variables (
ALWAYS_USE_RELAY,ENCRYPTED_ONLY,RELAY,KEY_PUB/KEY_PRIV, relay bandwidth limits,RUST_LOG, ...) work as documented
RustDesk Server OSS has no web console, user accounts, address book or API server. Those are RustDesk Server Pro features.
Recent Changes
Public guest page at /setup with ID server, public key, importable config string and download links, for meeting guests and other clients (e.g. MiroTalk SFU REMOTE_CONTROL_DOWNLOAD_URL).
Admin page moved to /admin and stays behind Cloudron login; / redirects there.
