Description

BookOrbit is a self-hosted library management and reading platform for ebooks, PDFs, audiobooks and comics. Build a library on top of the book files you already own, read in the browser, and sync to your Kobo e-reader.

Features

  • Your files, your library — manage EPUB, PDF, audiobook and comic files from folders you pick; nothing is re-hosted or converted
  • Web reader — read ebooks and PDFs in the browser (PDF rendering via poppler)
  • Kobo sync — push books to your Kobo reader
  • Imports — bring in existing library data from Audiobookshelf or Calibre-Web
  • Multi-user — per-user accounts and access
  • In-app settings — SMTP mail and OIDC/SSO are configured in BookOrbit's settings UI (stored in the database), so no extra Cloudron addons are needed

On Cloudron, BookOrbit uses the platform's managed PostgreSQL database and keeps app data and book files in the app's local storage, so both are included in every Cloudron backup.
